When I first saw this this tweet "God forgives, I don't" it got me offended because of the word "God" because I am grounded in my faith, but when I gave this some thought it actually shocked me very much because I don't believe in forgiveness.
When someone says you need to forgive someone that has hurt you, I just think that its easier to tell someone that but harder to do, how do you forgive someone that has murdered your family??? you telling everyone to forgive, would you forgive someone that has Taken someone very important in your life away?
Forgiveness takes time, it is not something that needs to be rushed and everyone is different, you may forgive someone and then the next day the same person that you forgave will boast that they're are forgiven. i don't know if its just me but i believe that Forgiveness is for the weak!!!
How the hell does forgiveness heal you? at night when you're in your bed, forgiveness does not make you better or sleep at night, you may forgive but one thing is for sure, you don't forget, how do you move on if something/someone still hurts you the moment you see them? and the person does not give a rats ass about how you feel
Judge me, I don't care but forgiveness does not change the past or the hurting! If you find out the formula to forgiveness please share it with some of us.
Yes I understand that no one is perfect! but you can not use that as an excuse for people to keep on wronging you, be your own person and forgive when YOU WANT to!!!
Perfect point. But as one grounded in the faith, I'll tell u that the prayer, "Our Father", highlights that God forgives those who forgive. Its normal not to want to forgive. But tell me one normal thing about God, or His word...hence He asks as to forgive.
